It's OK as an opener I

Why would you want Pyro? It's OK as an opener I guess, but it's quker to just use frostbolts, whh do more DPS.
If you just want to throw a pyroblast that is fine, but I believe that without some ne higher end talents the pyroblast will not be hitting as hard as you would like. The dot is pretty ne, but not worth spcing out of more ne frost talents for.

Then it. I have tried every sp known to man, I listed the moreommon ones that work well. Feel free to make a suggestion.
No Imp. Mana Shield? I've alwaysonsidered that a staple to survivability in my sps. Then again, lately I've beenompletely forgetting about Mana Shield in AV and PvE, so perhaps those are points wasted right now. Thoughts?
All imp mana shield does is save you mana. Get a bigger pool and it won't matter.

ahh yes ... sorry for missing that. Andollege isn't everything man so no sweat ... I've got no degree to speak of (barely got my dloma to be honest) but I'm doing a little better than good out there. It's all about motivation. :)
I thought a Alla savvy guy like you didnt need explenation on profiles ;) wow.allakhazamomprofile?837593 I havent updated it in a while. (eg, i have some better gear now) its a 3318 frosta only points allated a tad differently. I think overall all your builds...

IAM is a must in BWL. Vael anyone? So it does have it's uses. As for your build, why do only 4 points into imp bolt? Kinda pointless not to max it if you've gone that far. 33 into frost and no frostbite? meh. What you linked is not very far off from the 33 build I ed, you justhoe toustomize it to your tastes. Nothing wrong with that, but if I ed every single variation, of every single build, we'd run outta spe on the forums. These builds are meant to give ppl a general starting off area, oe they get the bass figured out, what they do is up to them.

Alright, due to popular demand, I will put together a 30 frost 21 aane build. I'm lazy atm though, messing with my UI is giving me fits. it soon.
Small note about my first build. It does several things. 1 thing it does really well isrowdontrol. Sie it has thehill effts and reded movement with Improved Blizzard it has goodrowdontrol. Also it has the Burst damage abilities that Aane power provides along with PoM and the range of fire. Impt is there mostly for pr'ing as your main spell youast is oh spam until you get aleaasting pr then aane missiles. If you want pop Aane power.. wind up a fireball then POM fireball and oh. For sheer leveling, there are two ways to go about things. 1. Go fire, you kill faster, thus level faster. or 2. Go frost and get improved Blizzard for AoE grinding. This is usually better with two mages working together. I tell most people, to use fire until 60, frost does do a lot less damage as you said, and for it to truly shine you need eessive amounts of +dmg gear, whh you get after being level 60. I am frost myself, and I put out very good damage, I am usually number one in damage dealt in instaes, and if not, within the top 5 easily. I wouldn't advise tri-spcing like you did, you lose too mh in other trees. Fire is great in instaes, andan even be used in ples like and BWL, although I would advise frost for those. Ultimately is boils down to your personal preferee, although, I would definately say lose the wan...

So IF I were to get IAE instead of Wand Spialization, what good would that do me in PvE? Ian just see using it and pulling hate off've mobs that aren't dirtly under someone'sontrol... It seems like IAE is only really usefull in PvP...whh, as I said before, I'll resp to a PvP build later in myareer bause right now I'm just fused on PvE and Instaes. So if there's a time IAE is better than W.S. in Instaes or PvE, please deribe it to me andhange my mind. Honestly, I'm just trying to find SOMEWHERE to dump those 5 more points to get up to PoM.

Ok with Shadow's prodding I've dided to up my elemental builds. I have played all three for quite some time so these are no theorraft in any way ... these are builds I've made and experieed gameplay with. They are all targetted at level 60 play so mileage may vary if you try these at lower levels. I did not begin my elementalist trek until my late 40's but I did explore this on my own before I even got hint of it on these forums (yes I am proud of my independee).
